Docs AI Assistant (“the Add-on”) is designed with privacy and security as top priorities. This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights as a user.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect, store, or transmit your Google Docs content.
• We do not store API keys entered through BYOK (Bring Your Own Key).
• We do not track user activity, documents, or usage statistics.

2. Information the Add-on Processes

The Add-on processes only the text you choose to send for AI rewriting or generation. Processing happens directly using the AI provider selected by you (OpenAI or Google Gemini).

3. API Keys (BYOK)

Your API keys are stored only locally in your browser (Chrome storage sync). They are never sent to our servers or stored by the developer.

4. Third-Party Services

The Add-on may send selected text to one of the following services, depending on your choice:

• Google Gemini API
• OpenAI API

Your data is processed according to their privacy policies.

5. Data Retention

We do not retain any user data. All processing is ephemeral and happens only during usage.
